Not sure of a project and would like to see how it would look in actual size, in colour, with the right paper, correct pages and binding? Not a problem! We can order the stock for the project, trim it to size and make the binding as per the finished document. We can even produce some digital prints of the completed job and make a few samples that you can use to study the market, some advertisers or to get feedback from your colleagues or clients. Almost anything is possible . Discuss the project with us first then we can come up with ideas, solutions and prices. Some of our mock-ups are almost as good as the final products.

Before you commit your job to a press run, or before we send it to a publication, you want to make sure it will print the way you expect. You need to know that the colours will be right, and that all the text and images are in the exact position you want them to be. You need a proof.

Proofs can be made at any stage of the job, from design concept through to contract proof and for that purpose we use our large format colour proofer.

Our back-up system is linked to Portfolio™ software which allows us to retrieve within a few minutes any photo used for our clients at any time in the past, giving the file’s name, size, mode, format and therefore, without having to retrieve it, we know if it will be suitable for your new project or not.

With our high-speed internet connection we can send the images we hold to your company, another division, a supplier, a publication, and all this in the correct format as requested by the receiver, Australia-wide or worldwide. You don’t need to go through your CDs, slides, photos folders, wasting time; let us do it for you, it will be quicker.

You need to send your ad to Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland or Paris?

No problem. We use our highspeed internet connection or one of our different electronic delivery systems* to transfer your job directly to the publication or we can upload it to our FTP server where size is not an issue: we can upload files of several gigabytes.

*More and more publications have dedicated software to upload your advert straight onto their page and often not accepting artwork by email any longer. We can do Adonline, Quickcut and Websend and these three systems cover almost all publications in Australia.

If you need to send files which are too big to be emailed, do not have the time to wait for a courier or if you are located out of Sydney, our FTP server is an excellent alternative. You can upload or download up to 1gb documents, which is really a lot. If you are using ‘normal-sized’ files, especially for overseas customers, it is less expensive than sending an international courier.

Once your job has been completed, it is archived on two different media: CD or DVD and DAT tapes.

A third back-up is stored offsite as an extra precaution. This professional back-up system means that we will be able to retrieve and update your documents, use some existing data to create new documents without having to charge you again for scanning or typesetting.

We use DDS technology from Sony.

Before running the final colour separations for printing purposes, we will ‘trap’ your job and provide you with a calibrated digital proof. This means that you can check your job to ensure that everything is as you want it. Film for the printer will only be made once we have received your approval. Our imagesetter/platesetter has perfect calibration to match accurately your tonal range and colours.

An imagesetter or a platesetter is an ultra-high resolution large-format computer output device. It exposes the film or printing plate to a laser beam. The resolution of these devices is typically between 1200 and 3600 dpi.

Our software used by one of our two artists gives an end-to-end creative workflow with comprehensive tools for 3D animation, modeling, simulation, visual effects, rendering, matchmoving, and compositing on a highly extensible production platform.
