Dear friends/clients,
While the biggest printer in Australia has been going down the hill for years to move into administration recently, smaller companies likes us, with personalise services and custom-make projects are thriving.
Since January we could barely breath, going from a big project to another one without a rest. This is really excellent news after the rather slow past two years which have seen the projects put on hold, postponed or simply cancelled on an ongoing basis.
During this pandemic time, when things were slow, we didn’t waste our time. We have made trade partnerships with production facilities in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Cairns to complement our Sydney operations, and so we are now generally more efficient than ever with faster delivery around the country for our interstate clients.
And the new trend is that a lot of you guys are ordering great products with specialty papers or nice finishes to make outstanding documents rather than the boring basic prints.
We are now operating at full steam and it’s great to be back in the red zone again.
Keep us busy, that’s how we like it.

Promotionals
In the 544-page catalogue you will find the perfect corporate gift to promote your company. Masks of all kinds with your company’s logo were just recently a hit for some reason and stocks of these are in and out very quickly. If you plan to order some, please allow at least 2-3 weeks.
With the La Niña weather pattern predicted to stay for another year, if you want more umbrellas do not wait until the rain starts, because these tend to sell out very quickly and it can take many weeks to get more from overseas.
Even though we are hopefully seeing the end of Covid-19 here in Australia, the reality is that this global pandemic has and will continue to have an ongoing impact on our businesses. As a small company, we are continuing to face disruptions and new challenges, such as stock shortage, global shipping delays, shortage of shipping containers, congestion at ports on arrival, so don’t sit back and wait until November to order your Christmas gifts. Save yourself from disappointment and order now before all items are gone!
Here at DPPP we can help you choose the must-have Christmas gifts this year, including cheese boards, picnic blankets, drinkware and gift sets that your staff and customers will love.

Recent projects
So far, 2022 has been the complete opposite of the previous two years where business was fairly quiet. Since early January we have been inundated with work, proof that a full recovery is well underway.
We started with the annual French Film Festival organised by the Alliance Française, across most states of Australia, involving a bigger program in seven different versions on this occasion: small posters, large-format posters, mounted posters, envelopes, stickers, tickets, etc.
This was followed by a season of Magimix campaigns, the launch of their 2022 brochure with more pages to announce their new products.
Then we continued with the Atout France Travel workshops and a massive amount of great-looking invitations, menus, brochures, posters, promotionals, badges, kakemonos, lecterns, etc.
Plus the many smaller campaigns requested by our other clients. This has been a very busy year so far and that is the way we like to work.

Recipe
Ginger chicken
I will take the opportunity of our location on the world’s capital of ginger to suggest this ginger chicken recipe

Ingredients
1kg pack boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 small size piece of fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tsp mild chilli powder
15g pack fresh coriander, chopped
juice of 1 lime
2 tbsp sunflower oil
2 medium onions
1 tsp ground turmeric
400ml can of coconut milk
1 fresh red chilli, deseeded and sliced
1 chicken stock cube
Instructions
Step 1
Slice each chicken thigh into 2 or 3 large chunks, then put in a bowl with the ginger, garlic, chilli powder, half the coriander, lime juice and 1 tbsp of the oil. Stir well, then cover and leave in the fridge to marinate until ready to cook. For the best flavour, do this in the morning or, better still, the night before.
Step 2
Peel and quarter the onions, then very finely chop them in a food processor; for a curry you want the onion really fine. Heat the remaining oil in a wok or large frying pan, then add the onion and stir-fry for about 8 mins until soft. Stir in the turmeric and cook for 1 min more, stirring well.
Step 3
Tip in the chicken mixture with the marinade and cook over a high heat until the chicken changes colour. Pour in the coconut milk, add the chilli and stock, then cover and simmer for 20 mins until the chicken is tender. Stir in the remaining coriander, then serve with pilau rice, a bowl of mango chutney – we like this with some poppadoms or naan bread.
